With the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation developing quickly, we believe it’s important to be transparent about how Veeqo is responding to the outbreak.
Our philosophy as a business is to approach this situation with empathy and urgency; Veeqo’s top priority is the health and safety of our team members and of the communities we serve across the world – including our customers and partners.
With the situation developing daily, I wanted to provide some reassurances about how we are responding to the outbreak at Veeqo.
It’s business as usual for the Veeqo platform, and we aren’t anticipating any changes to our software’s availability (and capability) during the coronavirus outbreak.
The Veeqo platform is hosted on AWS, and we’ve been able to easily scale up necessary infrastructure to deal with the increase in online order volumes. We also have a large team of in-house developers, who will continue to maintain the core platform – ensuring that there are no unexpected issues or outages during this time.
Veeqo Support Team
We’ll continue to offer free support to all Veeqo customers during the outbreak. We’ve recently increased the size of the Support Team, giving us enough resource to cope with any illnesses going forward.
If you need to speak with a member of our Support Team, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call +44 1792 720 740. You can also use the Live Chat widget when logged in to your Veeqo account.
We have temporarily closed down all of our physical offices, and our entire team is now working remotely from home.
Veeqo has always been a remote-first company. We already have multiple staff all over the world who permanently work from home and the entire company is used to communicating in this way – so this switch to full-time remote work will not be an issue.
We’ve postponed all our forthcoming events, and will reschedule these for when the outbreak is over. This includes meetups in London and Edinburgh, as well as our attendance at conferences (including IRX).
All business-related travel is cancelled until further notice. We believe this is one of the best ways to keep our employees, customers and families safe.
We have a number of new people joining the Veeqo team over the next few weeks and months. If you are someone who has been offered a role with us and due to start working for us, please note that there is no change to your contract – we will be looking forward to welcoming you aboard.
Your hiring manager should have already gotten in touch to explain the current situation regarding remote work. If that’s not the case, just email email@example.com.
Whether you’re one of our customers, partners or employees, I hope the above provides some reassurances during this time of uncertainty. If you have any questions or concerns about Veeqo’s response to the coronavirus outbreak, you can contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay safe out there!
