Welsh Tech Company Secures Silicon Valley Exec As New Chairman

Welsh Tech Company Secures Silicon Valley Exec As New Chairman

SWANSEA, UK: Veeqo, the inventory and shipping platform for retailers, is delighted to announce former Silicon Valley executive Martin Fincham as its new Chairman, with immediate effect.

Martin brings a wealth of experience to the Veeqo team through his 30-year career in the technology business as both an entrepreneur and corporate CEO, including spending five years as an executive in Silicon Valley after his first software company was acquired by an American buyer.

Martin’s appointment signifies another major step forward for Veeqo’s global expansion. Last year, the company secured a £3.3 million growth round from Octopus Investments, leading to a new office opening in Austin, Texas. With its headquarters in Swansea, Wales, and further offices in London and Bishkek, this makes Veeqo one of the only Welsh-founded companies to boast a truly global footprint.

Martin Fincham, new Veeqo Chairman, said:

“Veeqo is one of the most exciting software companies in ecommerce right now, and I’m thrilled to join them in an advisory role for this next stage of growth. The team has built an exceptional platform for retailers, and is positioned perfectly to expand both within the UK and America.”

Matt Warren, CEO and Founder of Veeqo, said:

“I’m extremely proud that Veeqo is flying the flag for Welsh tech, and securing Martin as our Chairman is fantastic for us. He brings a wealth of business experience in the technology sector, and will play a pivotal role in helping us achieve our growth targets – both here in the UK and as we continue to expand across the US.”
